Collections… This initially made me wonder where one draws the line between collecting and hoarding.
Anyway…
Since I came to America, I started collecting the movie stubs for every movie I see in the theatre. It wasn’t a collection that I started intentionally, I just one day realized that after seeing a movie I would always hold on to the stub that they give you when you walk in.
So I decided to put them all together in an empty notecard box I had lying around and lo and behold…
I realized that I had enough of them to be considered a collection and from then I decided it would be my thing.
I’ve often toyed with the idea of actually displaying these in a scrapbook in chronological order but have never actually gone ahead and put action to the thought.
Collecting movie stubs is a pretty easy “hobby” and doesn’t really cost anything more than the price of the movie ticket! 🙂

In Other News…
One of the things I really enjoy about this WordPress.com community is all the support they provide to new bloggers.
I was perusing their Blogging University yesterday and stumbled onto a wealth of courses for new (and growing) bloggers… Amazing! The best part is that they’re all free!
Free, I said… FREE! 🙂
I for one really appreciate this because I have looked into signing up for blogging courses before “on the outside” and almost always balk at the prices the course creators charge.
That’s not to say that people shouldn’t get paid for the works they create, especially when they put in a lot of time and effort to create them, but for a new blogger, the prices of some of those courses are just downright prohibitive.
So back to Blogging University… I couldn’t resist… I signed up for not one, but two courses!
Like I really don’t have anything else to do with my time 😉
Anyway, I’m excited to embark on these new journeys and I have my Day One homework assignments for both already.
I initially was going to do my homework for both in this one post but I think I’ll do them in a separate post so that this one doesn’t get overwhelming or unwieldy.
